A weird day of test cricket

Australia finished the first day on 170-3. Smith not out 60 and Labuschange scoring 67. Both of them proving my predictions wrong. England though started really well with a fiery opening burst from Broad. He had both the openers out. It was such a windy day that it was hard for the bowlers to control where the ball was going. Because of the huge winds at one point the game was played without bails. I have never seen this happen before in cricket. Craig Overton claimed Labuschange with a peach of a delivery hitting the top of off. Although he was quite expensive going at 4.10 runs an over. It was pretty even at the end of the day as on a slow pitch pace bowling will be difficult especially if the wind stays the way it was on day one. Maybe Australia should have picked Siddle instead of Starc if the pitch was going to do this? Let’s hope for a longer day and less rain on day 2.
