Today on the 3rd June England take on Pakistan at Trent Bridge. Pakistan lost their first game in a disappointing manner bowled out for a 100 off against the Windies. England, however, had a solid all-round win against South Africa.
Let’s compare the Batsmen first.
Pakistan has a top 6 of Imam al Hag, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Harris Sohail, Sarfaraz Khan and the veteran Mohammed Hafeez. In comparison, England’s top 6 consists of Roy, Bairstow, Root, Morgan, Stokes and the wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Butler. Now both of these teams are capable of putting 350 on the board with people like Fakhar and Roy in their team. However, England’s top 6 is completely destroying teams a lot more.
Pakistan’s all-rounders consist of Wasim and Shadab when in comparison Englands consist of Stokes, Woakes, and Moen. Pakistan’s all-rounders are barely match winners with the bat just the ball, however, Englands all-rounders could win it with either.
Now onto the bowlers Pakistanis bowlers are Amir, Hassan, Wasim, Shadab, and Wasim. England’s attack consists of Woakes, Archer, Moen, Rashid, Stokes and Plunkett. The middle overs bowling I feel will be the same however Archer and Woakes up front could win the game in there home conditions.
I’m going for England to win by 100 runs.
