Somerset on top at the end of day 3 after a more normal day of cricket cut short by bad light. Somerset started on 6-0 but were quickly onto 6-1 after Trescothick was out caught at slip.renshaw threatend with a powerful flick of his legs for 4 but was out the next over with his off stump sent flying by jack brooks renshaw not executing an expansive straight drive Hildreth came in but was bowled in the same fashion by Coad. Somerset were 24-4 only leafing by 144 and Yorkshire were back in the game .Steve Davies came together with Tom Abell and put on 66 to take the score to 90-4 but then Davies was caught in two minds weather to play or leave an nicked off . Gregory came in and smashed a six and a for off his legs but then he was out lbw not playing a shot to Coad just before lunch . After lunch Overton came out swinging but it was short lived bowled by jack brooks. In came Bess who was handy in supporting abell who had moved onto 67 but was then out caught in the slips by Lyth. Josh Davey came in and supported abell but was out for 11. Abell having played a masterful innings trying to slog as Groenwald came in and was bowled for 82 a great captains innings . Yorkshire came in to bat and survived to lunch somehow but after lunch Davey got his rewards for some consistent bowling Harry Brook caught in the slips by Trescothick Lyth and Pujara batted scratchy before the day was suspend for bad light. Somerset on top Yorkshire would need a big innings from someone to win.
